Informational only. FalconHood publishes general guidance about falconry hoods — selection, sizing, pattern reference layouts and equipment checklists. It is not professional falconry, veterinary or legal advice and does not address your individual bird or situation. Falconry is a licensed, regulated activity in most jurisdictions: operate under your permits and under the guidance of your sponsor. Animal welfare decisions belong with qualified hands-on mentors and a raptor veterinarian, never with a website.

Pattern sheets and drafts. The hood pattern layouts are explicitly marked draft references: dimensions have not been cutting-verified. Verify on paper or scrap material and with an experienced hood maker before cutting leather, and always test-fit on the bird under supervision.

No warranties. Size bands and price ranges rely on typical maker charts and 2026 retail levels; actual products vary. Content is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.

Printables. The pattern and checklist sheets are free for personal, non-commercial use — print as many copies as you like for your own use. Do not resell or republish them.

Trademarks. Product and maker names mentioned in guides are trademarks of their respective owners; their appearance does not imply endorsement.
